FAQ

Website Development

Do you only build websites with Divi?

No. We are technology agnostic. While we love Divi for its flexibility, we select the builder that best fits your specific project goals. We are experts in Elementor, Thrive Architect, and the native Gutenberg block editor. We don't force a tool on you; we choose the one that solves your problem.

Should I redesign my existing website?

If your site is more than 5 years old or if you actively dislike looking at it, the answer is probably yes. Website design moves fast. A site that felt modern in 2020 looks dated in 2025. More importantly, if you don't like the look of your website, why would your visitors feel any different? Book a call and we'll give you an honest assessment of whether a redesign makes sense for your business.

I've heard Page Builders are slow. Why not code everything from scratch?

Hard-coding makes you dependent on a developer for every comma change. That violates our philosophy of client autonomy. We use modern builders (which are now very fast) so you can own and manage your content.

Can you meet a specific deadline?

Yes, as long as it's realistic. If you have a product launch, conference, or seasonal campaign that requires the site to be live by a certain date, tell us during the initial call. We'll build the project timeline backward from your deadline and let you know if it's achievable. We've launched sites in days when necessary, but we prefer the standard 2-week timeline for quality control.

When do you use Gutenberg?

We use Gutenberg when raw performance and Core Web Vitals are the absolute priority. It is lightweight, native to WordPress, and delivers 100/100 Google Speed scores for SEO-critical projects.

Do I have to pay monthly subscriptions ?

Generally, no. For instance, we provide a Lifetime License for Divi. You get the updates for free, forever, without paying the annual fees. We believe in equipping you with the best tools without hidden ongoing costs.

How long does it take to build a website?

2 weeks for standard sites, 4-6 weeks for e-commerce projects. These timelines assume you're responsive with feedback and content approvals. If you need to launch by a specific date, tell us upfront and we'll adjust our schedule to accommodate your deadline.

What's your development process?

It starts with a discovery interview where we learn about your visual preferences, brand identity, and business goals. Then we build a live staging environment within 48 hours where you can see the actual site taking shape. You provide feedback via WhatsApp, we implement changes immediately, and we write all the professional marketing copy before launch. No mockups, no waiting weeks for revisions, no Lorem Ipsum placeholders. You get a complete, operational site from day one.

When is Thrive Architect the better choice?

We deploy Thrive Architect for e-learning projects, membership sites, and conversion-focused Landing Pages with Sales Funnels and lead capture forms. It's the industry standard for digital course creators and marketers.

Who owns the website code and licenses?

You do. 100%. We transfer all keys, licenses, and admin rights to you. We don't hold your digital assets hostage.

How many design revisions do I get?

Unlimited. We trust our talent, and we trust the collaborative process. Since you're watching the site build live via the staging URL and providing feedback in real time, revisions happen continuously rather than in big batches. If something doesn't match your vision, we fix it immediately. This approach eliminates the artificial 3 revisions only limits that agencies use to protect themselves from scope creep.

When can I see the design?

From day one. We don't waste weeks creating mockups that may or may not represent the final product. Instead, we provide you with a staging URL immediately. You watch your site build in real time, comment via WhatsApp with screenshots or voice notes, and see changes implemented within hours. This eliminates the big reveal shock that happens when agencies show you a finished site you've never seen before.

Can you migrate my existing site to WordPress?

Yes. We've migrated sites from every platform imaginable: Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, custom PHP, Joomla, Drupal, and more. We handle the technical migration, set up proper 301 redirects to preserve your SEO rankings, and ensure zero downtime during the transition. Your site moves seamlessly to WordPress without losing traffic or search visibility.

Can I edit the website myself after launch?

Absolutely. That's the entire point of using WordPress with a page builder. Whether we deploy Divi, Elementor, or Thrive Architect, you get full control to update text, swap images, or add new pages without calling a developer for every change. We provide training and live support to ensure you feel confident managing your site.

Identity & Experience

You claim to be Web Pioneers (1996). What does that mean for me?

It means we don't panic when algorithms change. We were building sites before Google existed. We distinguish between fleeting trends and sustainable strategies, ensuring your business is future-proof.

LaFactory? Are you an industrial assembly line for websites?

Quite the opposite. The name references Andy Warhol's Factory, a hub for art and experimentation. We don't churn out templates; we craft custom assets. We are artisans who have been shaping the web since 1996.

I found a LaFactory.com marketplace. Is that you?

Yes. That is our E-commerce Laboratory. Unlike agencies that only talk about sales, we run a massive multi-vendor marketplace with thousands of SKUs. We test our SEO and conversion tactics on our own business first. We have skin in the game.

How long have you been in business?

Since 1994, which makes us 31 years old. We launched before Google existed, before WordPress existed, before most of your competitors were even online. This means we've survived every algorithm update, platform shift, and industry trend because we focus on fundamentals that don't change: speed, clarity, and results.

Why is your founder involved in Motorcycle Tours and Market Research?

Those aren't our companies. CSM Research and Big Bike Tours are clients we've worked with for years, writing their content and managing their digital presence. They keep our founder's name visible on their sites because his personal credibility and SEO expertise directly benefits their rankings. It's proof that our content strategy works so well that clients want to publicly associate with him.

Do you outsource work?

Never. Everything is built in-house by our own team. No freelance subcontractors, no offshore agencies, no mysterious partners. When you hire LaFactory, you get LaFactory. This ensures quality control, consistent communication, and accountability from start to finish.

Do you work internationally?

Yes. We have active clients across Europe, Asia, North America, and beyond. We handle multilingual projects, cultural nuances, and international payment systems. Whether you're in New York, Paris, Bangkok, or Dubai, we've done this before.

Where are you located?

Our legal entity is in Delaware, US (131 Continental Dr Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713), with LaFactory Ltd in Thailand. Our team operates globally. This allows us to serve clients worldwide with the same level of expertise and support regardless of time zone.

Hosting & Performance

What is included in your Business Booster hosting?

It's not just server space; it's enterprise-grade infrastructure. Every client gets 4GB dedicated RAM with LiteSpeed Enterprise for exceptional performance. We use cPanel, the industry standard control panel, so you have familiar tools if you ever need direct access. Combined with Redis object caching and servers optimized specifically for WordPress, you get fast, reliable hosting that handles traffic spikes without breaking.

Is the hosting secure?

Yes. We include anti-DDoS protection, malware scanning, and daily backups by default. We know WordPress security is non-negotiable.

What does managed WordPress mean?

We handle everything technical so you don't have to. When WordPress releases an update, we install it. When a plugin needs updating, we update it. If your site gets hacked, we clean it. If something breaks, we fix it. You never touch the technical side unless you want to. Most people just want their site to work without thinking about server maintenance, security patches, or database optimization. That's what we handle.

How do backups work?

Your site is backed up automatically every day at the server level using Backuply. You can also trigger manual backups anytime you want, either for just your WordPress site or for your entire hosting account. If you accidentally delete something or a plugin breaks your site, we restore it in minutes. You don't need to think about backups - they happen automatically in the background.

Who handles technical support?

Real developers, available 24/7 via WhatsApp. Our Follow-the-Sun team (USA & Thailand) ensures instant responses regardless of your timezone. No chatbots, no tier-1 scripts reading from a knowledge base, no escalations to senior technicians who might respond in 48 hours. The same people who can build your site from scratch can fix your technical issues immediately. If your site goes down at 2 AM, a developer responds within minutes and resolves the problem, not schedules a callback for business hours.

Can I host my site elsewhere?

Yes, you own the site. If you want to host it yourself or use another provider, that's fine. We just won't be able to provide the same level of support if we're not managing the server.

Support & Contracts

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Never. We operate on a strictly Month-to-Month basis. We believe we should earn your trust every 30 days. If we stop performing, you are free to leave.

Why don't you use Account Managers?

Because they are often just barriers between you and the work. At LaFactory, you speak directly to the experts building your site and running your campaigns. No telephone game, just results.

Will I talk to a chatbot when I need help?

No. You get 24/7 Human Live Support. Whether you are in New York or Paris, our Follow-the-Sun team (USA & Thailand) ensures a real expert answers your questions instantly.

What support after launch?

6 months of unlimited support is included in your base price. This means you can reach out via WhatsApp or our ticketing system 24/7 with any questions, bug fixes, or minor adjustments. You're talking to the same developers who built your site, not a tier-1 script-reading support team or a chatbot. After the 6-month period ends, you can either switch to our managed hosting plan (which includes ongoing support) or handle maintenance yourself.

Content & Design

Do I need to provide content before you start building?

No. That's one of the biggest differences between us and most agencies. We write all your headlines, body copy, CTAs, and service descriptions before launch. Your site goes live with professional marketing copy optimized for conversions and SEO, not Lorem Ipsum placeholders waiting for your content team to fill in later. Most agencies hand you an empty template and say just add your text here. We deliver a finished product.

Can you write blog content for me?

Yes. Service descriptions are included in the base price. If you want ongoing blog content for SEO, that's $200 for 20 articles of 2,000+ words each. This includes keyword research, SEO optimization, royalty-free images, and publishing. You don't lift a finger; we handle everything from research to publication.

Do you offer logo and branding design?

Yes. A standalone logo design is $100. If you need a complete brand identity including color palette, typography, and brand guidelines, that's a custom quote depending on scope. Book a call and we'll discuss exactly what you need.

SEO

What's included in the SEO audit?

A complete technical analysis: crawl errors blocking Google, broken 404 links losing visitors, duplicate content penalties, indexation problems hiding your best pages, page speed issues killing conversions, and on-page optimization gaps. The deliverable is a prioritized roadmap sorted by revenue impact, not a 40-page report listing every minor error. We focus on what actually moves the needle. We also provide a video call to walk through the findings and answer your questions. Implementation is available if you want us to execute the fixes, or we hand you the roadmap and your team handles it.

Do you build backlinks?

No. Link building has become a scam. The only valuable backlinks are organic ones earned through quality content, like when the New York Times writes about you. Everything else is either ignored by Google or actively harmful. We focus on creating content that earns natural citations from AI engines and authoritative sites, not paying for spammy directory links.

How long until I see SEO results?

No. Anyone who promises guaranteed rankings is either lying or using tactics that will get you penalized. We optimize your site using Google's own best practices, write high-quality content, and structure everything for AI citations. But we can't control Google's algorithm or your competitors' budgets. What we can guarantee is that we'll never use risky tactics that jeopardize your site's long-term health.

What's your approach to keyword research?

We use free Google tools exclusively for strategic decisions: Google Keyword Planner (real search volume data directly from Google), Google Trends (seasonality and trend analysis), and Search Console (what people are actually typing to find your site). We use paid tools like Semrush or Ubersuggest only for competitor analysis, never for strategic decisions, because their search volume estimates are wildly unreliable and often contradict each other by 10x or more.

Do I need to give you website access?

Yes, if you want us to implement the fixes. Alternatively, we can provide the audit report and roadmap, and your internal team or another developer can execute the changes. We're flexible. Some clients prefer the DIY approach; others want us to handle everything.

How do you measure SEO success?

We track organic traffic growth, keyword rankings, AI citations (your brand appearing in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews), and conversion rates. The goal isn't just to get traffic; it's to get revenue. A site that ranks for 100 irrelevant keywords but generates zero sales is a failure. We focus on metrics that correlate with actual business growth.

Do you handle local SEO?

Yes. We optimize your Google Business Profile with Q&A seeding (pre-answering common questions before customers ask), photo strategies (encouraging clients to upload project photos for social proof), review management (responding to all reviews with keyword-rich replies), weekly posting schedules (keeping your profile active), and schema markup (telling Google exactly what you do and where you serve). Local SEO is critical for businesses serving specific geographic areas.

Can you guarantee first page rankings?

Paid Advertising

How much does paid advertising cost?

Your ad spend is your decision; you pay the platform (Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Amazon) directly. Our management fee is $200 for initial setup and campaign creation, then $100 per month for ongoing optimization. This covers 95% of our clients running standard campaigns. Complex setups (multiple countries, languages, or advanced tracking) may cost more, but we'll quote that upfront. Same rates across all platforms.

Do you create ad content?

Yes. For Google, we write Responsive Search Ads with 15 headline variations to let the algorithm test what resonates. For social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit), we use AI video generation tools (Kling, Luma, Google Veo) to create scroll-stopping video content at a fraction of traditional production costs. A traditional commercial costs $50,000 to produce; we deliver similar quality for effectively zero marginal cost beyond compute time. This allows us to refresh creative weekly, keeping your ads from fatiguing.

Which platforms do you advertise on?

All of them. Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, Amazon, Pinterest, Twitter/X, Snapchat - any advertising platform where your customers are, we can run campaigns there. Same rates across all platforms: $200 setup + $100/month management.

Should I advertise on TikTok?

If your audience is under 40 and you have visually interesting products or services, yes. TikTok's algorithm is exceptional at finding your ideal customers, and video content performs better there than on any other platform. Cost per click is still lower than Facebook or Instagram because fewer businesses are competing there.

Should I use YouTube ads?

If you can create compelling video content, yes. YouTube reaches 2 billion people monthly and offers precise targeting. Pre-roll ads are skippable, so you only pay when someone watches 30+ seconds, which means engaged viewers. Great for brand awareness and product demonstrations.

How quickly will I see results?

Search advertising drives immediate traffic. You launch a campaign, and visitors start arriving within hours. Social advertising takes longer to optimize but builds sustained awareness. Whether those visitors convert into customers depends on your offer, targeting precision, and landing page quality. We typically see conversion optimization improve significantly over the first 2-4 weeks as we gather data and refine targeting.

Should I advertise on Amazon or eBay?

If you sell physical products, absolutely. Amazon and eBay ads put your products directly in front of people ready to buy. Amazon's sponsored products appear in search results when customers are comparing options. eBay promoted listings work the same way. Both platforms offer excellent ROI for e-commerce businesses because the buying intent is already there.

Google Ads or Facebook Ads?

It depends on your goal. Google Ads captures high-intent traffic: people actively searching for solutions right now. Facebook Ads creates demand: introducing your product to people who didn't know they needed it yet. If your budget allows, use both. Google captures the bottom of the funnel (ready to buy), while Facebook builds awareness at the top of the funnel (discovery phase).

Is LinkedIn advertising worth it?

For B2B, absolutely. LinkedIn is the only platform where you can target by job title, company size, industry, and seniority. If you're selling to decision-makers, LinkedIn delivers higher quality leads than any other platform. The CPM is higher, but the conversion rates justify the cost.

Which advertising platform should I use?

It depends on your goal. Search platforms capture high-intent traffic: people actively searching for solutions right now. Social platforms create demand: introducing your product to people who didn't know they needed it yet. If your budget allows, use both. Search captures the bottom of the funnel (ready to buy), while social builds awareness at the top of the funnel (discovery phase). Together, they create a complete customer acquisition system.

Do you manage social media?

Yes. We handle both paid advertising campaigns and organic community management. Paid campaigns run across any advertising platform. Community management is $100/month for three posts per week with photo or video, including content creation, posting, and basic engagement. Just specify what you need during our initial call.

Is Reddit advertising effective?

For niche audiences, extremely. Reddit users are highly engaged and skeptical of traditional advertising, so ads need to feel native and valuable. If you can provide genuine value to a specific subreddit community, Reddit delivers exceptionally qualified traffic at low cost. Not recommended for broad awareness campaigns.
